About Us
History

The Northeast Tarrant County Branch of AAUW was founded as the Hurst Branch in 1969. With the growth of the suburban northeast Tarrant county area beyond the cities of Hurst, Euless, and Bedford, the branch name was changed in August 1993.

What we do

We support local programs that advance equity for women through advocacy, education, and research.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some examples of how we support our community:

KEYS - (
Keeping Eligible Youth in School)

  • Our branch serves as the PTA sponsor for this alternative high school in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford school district.
  • We provide support for KEYS faculty and students throughout the school year and our branch awards college scholarships to KEYS graduates.
